She Did It!
Congratulations to THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL’s Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke) for completing this weekend’s Ironman Triathlon in Kona, HA with a time of fifteen hours and fifty-seven minutes!
Lang swam 2.4 miles, biked 112 miles and ran a full marathon (that’s 26.2 miles) on Saturday. (Wow! We’re exhausted just writing that!) The actress took to social media after the race and said it was magic to her ears to hear “Katherine Kelly Lang, you are an Ironman!” announced over the loudspeakers when she crossed the finish line. This is the first full Ironman competition Lang has ever competed in. “The theme of this race was [the Hawaiian word] ONIPA’A [which means] perseverance and strength to move forward,” she noted on Instagram. “And that is exactly what I did … Thank you to all who supported me through this experience!”
