THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL’s Heather Tom Reveals Her New Directing Gig

Viewers of THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL know that Heather Tom is an incredibly talented actress from her portrayal of Katie Logan. But unless they’ve been paying particularly close attention to the credits, they may not be aware that she’s also a very talented director! She’s helmed numerous episodes of B&B and is about to add an episode of GOOD TROUBLE to her resume! “First day of shooting tomorrow!” Tom revealed on Instagram. “This episode is insane! Everyone at GOOD TROUBLE has been amazing. I’m so grateful to be here! Almost time to play!”

GOOD TROUBLE is a spinoff of THE FOSTERS that follows Callie and Mariana from that series as they head out to live their adult lives and see what the world holds for them. Like THE FOSTERS, GOOD TROUBLE is executive produced by Joanna Johnson, who B&B fans will remember from her stints as both Caroline and Karen Spencer on the soap.

“I’m very excited for my B&B sister-in-law to direct GOOD TROUBLE!” Johnson enthused on Twitter. “She’s gonna kill it!” Some of Tom’s other castmates past and present offered their support as well. “Get it, HT!” cheered Darin Brooks (Wyatt). “Congrats!” Lawrence Saint-Victor (Carter) and Ashley Jones (ex-Bridget) posted congratulations and Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke) added: “So awesome!”

From the cover of her shooting script, Tom is directing episode 15 of the second season, which premiered in June of 2019. Although no air date has been announced yet, given that the episode is titled “Palentine’s Day,” it’s likely it will air sometime in February of 2020.
