Congratulations to THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL star Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy), who has just announced that she is pregnant with her first child! The actress and husband Elan Ruspoli are naturally over the moon about the news, but she had to make sure that her big news was announced with the appropriate fanfare.
Wood shared the news with her B&B castmates while filming a lingerie fashion show for an upcoming episode. As she strutted down the catwalk in one of Steffy’s lingerie ensembles from her Intimates line, Wood announced to the cast and crew: “I just wanted to let you all know… that your girl is pregnant!” So when you watch that episode, just remember that Wood was already five-and-a-half months gone when she shot it! The mom-to-be confided to Entertainment Tonight that they’re going to find out the sex of the baby very soon. “We’re gonna do a gender reveal in like, two weeks from now,” she said. “I’m feeling boy, but my husband’s feeling girl. So… we’ll see!”
On Nov. 4, Wood and Ruspoli held a big party where they invited all their friends and relatives to watch as a drag queen performed and revealed the gender of their baby. When presented with a blue balloon, Wood was jumping up and down with excitement that she was having a little boy!
Seeing as how Steffy gave birth to her and Liam’s daughter, Kelly, earlier this year, Wood is getting plenty of experience with newborns. Although real-life childbirth will definitely be a very different experience than what the actress went through on-camera for the soap! Also, because Steffy is the mother to a newborn, don’t look for B&B to write Wood’s real-life pregnancy into the show. Instead, prepare for Steffy to start wearing bulky coats and carrying big bags to hide that growing baby bump!

And on March 4, Wood and Ruspoli welcomed their first son together! Now fans will just have to wait a bit for Steffy to return after the actress’ maternity leave so the baby switch storyline can continue!
