Katrina Bowden Previews What's Next for Flo on B&B

Nothing puts a character at the fulcrum of a storyline quite like sitting on a secret — one that, if revealed, could inflict maximum damage when it is revealed! That’s the predicament still plaguing THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL’s Flo as we enter the summer months, and her portrayer, Katrina Bowden, assured Soaps In Depth this pressure cooker is just heating up!

Based on the pact that Flo made last month with Shauna and Zoe, it’s clear the women don’t subscribe to that old maxim “The truth will set you free.” Instead, they’ve come to the conclusion that the truth will make things much, much worse. That doesn’t mean Flo is struggling any less with her deception to keep her lips zipped. “She’s having a really hard time being around Hope — her cousin and friend,” said the actress. “She’s trying to keep it all under wraps and appease everybody and go on with her life while also holding onto this terrible truth. It’s really hard.”

That said, the summer won’t be all angst and no fun for the newest addition to the Logan family. Now that she and old flame Wyatt are officially a couple again, true moments of happiness will temporarily distract the blonde from the whopper of a secret she’s keeping under her hat. “There are going to be moments where she is a little bit more at ease as their relationship progresses,” said Bowden. “I think it will be fun for the audience to see the more playful side of Flo, which we haven’t gotten to see a lot of because she’s been so tormented” by everything she’s done.

Flo is also getting acclimated to having “moved on up” as a houseguest at the posh Forrester mansion. “She’s a little taken aback by it all, but she’s slowly but surely loving it,” Bowden said. “It’s kind of like a dream.”

The flip side of a dream come true, alas, is the nightmare that Flo fully expects to unfold if her dark secret ever surfaces. “Would the Logans want nothing to do with her, and would she get sent to prison, or would they forgive her and understand the terrible circumstances?” Bowden pondered. “Even in those moments where she’s having fun and letting loose, in the back of her mind, she still has that nagging reminder of the secret she’s keeping. So she kind of goes back and forth between feeling happy with this amazing new life but also feeling this deep regret at every turn and a desire to tell the truth!”
