Still on edge about the thug who was after his money (and what he might end up doing to Zoe in retribution), Reese told his daughter she should ask Xander to move in with her. Zoe and Xander began to suspect that Reese was in some very deep, very hot water, but what that might be, they couldn’t say for sure. Zoe felt obligated to look out for her dad, regardless of their dicey history. Wanting to prove to Taylor how much she meant to him, Reese offered to assist Steffy in fulfilling her dream of adopting another child. Skeptical, Taylor questioned him, but when he introduced her to his old friend from Las Vegas, Florence, Taylor was finally convinced. After she left, happy to share the good news with her daughter, it became clear that there was a much darker side to Reese and Florence’s past. Reese broke down and told Florence he was terrified for his daughter’s safety, but she remained dubious about the vagueness surrounding his plan to finally get his creditors off his back.

Sally’s Plan Backfired!

While Brooke urged Hope to let someone help her through her depression, Liam shared his tremendous loss with Steffy. Liam found some solace spending time with Kelly, and he later received a visit from Wyatt, who tried to cheer his brother up. Liam and Hope finally came to grips with the reality that Beth was gone forever, but the heartsick blonde continued to spiral into an emotional abyss. Liam confided to Wyatt that he was worried about his wife’s fragile mental state. Feeling at a loss for how to help Hope recover from her tragic loss, Sally got an idea for a gift that could potentially comfort the blonde: a puppy! She and Wyatt visited the grieving parents, and Hope found sympathy with Wyatt when the two reflected on the unborn child that they once lost. As the blonde continued to struggle with her emotions, she snapped at Sally, taking offense at her well-meaning gift. Despite Hope’s reaction, Wyatt told Sally that he was deeply touched by her desire to try and help Hope, especially given his own romantic history with the grieving beauty.

An Awkward Family Dinner!

A cash-savvy Will made Dollar Bill exceedingly proud when he showed off his efforts for his school’s fundraiser. The father/son duo shared an adorable moment when the little boy later questioned his dad on matters of the heart. Though initially put on the spot, Katie gamely agreed when Will asked if Bill could stay for dinner. Things took a turn for the uncomfortable, however, when, after Katie remarked to Thorne how much she loved him, Will interjected and asked her if she loved Bill, too!

Ridge Was Suspicious

In the aftermath of Hope and Liam’s tragic loss, Ridge told Bill that he thought they ought to start being better leaders for their respective families. The two discussed their tumultuous history, and despite Bill’s claims that he only wanted peace from here on out, Ridge accused him of putting on a “nice guy” act to win over Brooke. Sick of their endless squabbling, Brooke stepped in and made it clear to both men where her true loyalty and love lay.
