THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL’s Darin Brooks Previews His New Movie

Tags:

THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL’s Darin Brooks (Wyatt) is starring in the new movie, Blue Mountain State: The Rise Of Thadland, out today — and it’s definitely a nice change of pace for him!

“On B&B, I play the most romantic, perfect guy,” he says, “and on BMS, I’m a slacker, player — the complete opposite. So it’s very fun,” he tells Soaps In Depth.

The movie is a follow-up to the Spike TV series, BLUE MOUNTAIN STATE, that ran from 2010-2012. It was funded via a Kickstarter campaign, with fans of the show donating to bring their favorite characters back for another hysterical adventure.

“We just have this cult following,” Brooks continues. “I think it’s really nice that it didn’t just fizzle out [after the show was cancelled]. It’s still going strong, even now.”

Another bonus for Brooks — he gets to work with his real-life love! The actor met his fiancée, Kelly Kruger (ex-Mac, THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS), while they were filming the television series together, and she appears with him again in the film as sports reporter Julia. “We work so well together,” Kruger says. “We just love it.”
