THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL’s Heather Tom Dishes Katie’s Downward Spiral
Katie has always been the “responsible” Logan sister on THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL, but lately, the wheels have come off thanks to her deep-seated fear that big sister Brooke is out to steal her man!
“It’s very much a self-fulfilling prophecy,” notes Heather Tom (Katie) of her alter ego’s downward spiral, which has clearly stemmed from her own insecurities. “Bill and Brooke haven’t crossed the line, and Bill has said that he is committed to Katie. He wants to be with his family, and he hasn’t strayed.”
That’s not to say Tom can’t understand where her character’s doubts and fears are coming from.
“I could argue that Brooke should never have [confessed she was still in love with him], that the only reason to tell somebody something like that is because you want something to happen. And I’m sure the audience might be saying, ‘Well, Bill was fantasizing about Brooke, so he’s just as much to blame.’”
Tom sat down with Soaps In Depth to chat about her latest storyline, and why it’s been a real “kick in the pants” to see Katie’s feisty — if fully intoxicated — side emerge. “She’s becoming very difficult to live with,” says Tom of her alter ego’s antics.
