Because he was in Hawaii when the Daytime Emmy Award nominations were announces, THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL’s Pierson Fodé (Thomas) got the news very early in the morning — luckily he was already awake!
“I just hadn’t been doing anything,” he tells Soaps In Depth. “I’m in Hawaii on top of a volcano over here. Just kind of a cool space to be in. I’m drinking coffee and here comes an Emmy nomination! So thank you for that! It was pretty fantastic.”
To earn the nomination, Fodé submitted the two episodes with the confrontation between Thomas and Ridge that blew up into a full-on fight. “Kind of about his unrequited fatherly love that he was wanting,” he says, “and then he punched his dad in the face. Classic!”
Fodé hasn’t decided yet who his date for the big night will be. “I’m leaning towards bringing my mom because that would be a really cool moment for her to be a part of,” he confides. However, he knows what he’s doing before he heads home!
“I’m going to do a lava tube hike,” Fodé reveals. “Cruising around inside some lava tubes and crawling through some deep, dark spaces!”

3-24-16 is the day everything changed I wake up on an active volcano in Hawaii to a call from @boldandbeautifulcbs saying I was just nominated for an Emmy. During this exact same moment my family is on their way to auction off our family farm. Reasons being my dad has had three heart attacks in the last 6 years from the stress of debt running our farm and being a hero with my mom for us kids. I've got so many things to be grateful for right now and am so honored to be apart of this amazing show on @cbsdaytime . Thank you to everyone who continue to support me no matter what. To celebrate Im jumping off a cliff… Farewell! #cbsdaytime #emmy #emmys2016 #Hawaii #blahblahblah 🏆💥🔥😁🦄
