Christel Khalil Returns to THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS Set
Fans who were worried when Lily Ashby was shipped off to a distant prison can relax a little because Christel Khalil has returned to THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS for more! On-screen hubby Daniel Goddard (Cane) shared the good news when he tweeted a photo of the two of them hugging in a Y&R studio office. “Reunited and it feels so good!” he shared. “Happy birthday to this girl right here! I’ve missed you and love you! It’s so great to have you back!”

Back in August, Khalil announced that she was dropping to recurring status with Y&R to pursue other career opportunities outside of daytime. And she recently did just that by appearing in the Lifetime movie Sorority Stalker. On the soap, Lily went to prison for her part in Hilary’s death and after experiencing problems in that particular institution, was sent to a prison farther away from Genoa City.
The last time Lily was seen on screen was at the end of October, and her loved ones have been having a rough time dealing with her absence. But if Khalil is back filming at the studio now at the end of November, it’s likely that her episodes will air sometime in December, just in time for the holidays. Unfortunately, it’s more likely that her family will be visiting her in prison than she would be released, but you’ll have to tune in to find out and see her again!
