THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS’ Jess Walton Plays Patrick Duffy’s Wife in ‘Christmas With a View!’
Fans of THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS have been looking forward to Jess Walton reprising her role as Jill on Monday, Dec. 18, but now they can also see the Emmy-winning actress in the new movie, Christmas With a View! “Big news,” Walton shared on her Facebook page. “I’m heading to Canada to film a small role in a movie! The film is called Christmas With a View and it will be on Netflix.”
However, with Jill’s long-awaited return to Y&R coming up, fans shouldn’t worry that this movie will impact her schedule too much as she’s only filming for a few days. “I’ll be shooting for three days,” Walton reported, “and will play the wife of Patrick Duffy, who used to be on DALLAS. Vivica A. Fox is in the movie, too! I’m thrilled to be part of this and spend some time near Toronto where I grew up.”
Soap fans will recall that Vivica A. Fox played Stephanie Simmons on Y&R from 1994-95, and that in addition to his primetime soap appearances on both the original DALLAS and its more recent series, Duffy played Stephen Logan on THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL from 2006-11! Fox shared an animated Boomerang on her Instagram kicking around some of the snow in Toronto dressed in a fabulous Ralph Lauren jumpsuit!
Details on Christmas With a View are still scarce as it’s still in production, but it’s directed by Justin Dyck for Dare2 Productions. The only question is, can they get this movie completed for Christmas 2017, or are they just really early filming for next Christmas? Either way, as soon as we have more information on when the movie will be available to watch on Netflix, we’ll be sure to let you know, so stay tuned!
