Having both had their own separate encounters with their mother now that she’s back in Genoa City, Jack and Ashley are together to compare notes when Dina makes an unexpected appearance on GC Buzz TV. “Dina Mergeron, a renowned figure in the international business community,” reports Mariah, “is here to make a stunning announcement.” Ashley and Jack’s faces fall as they brace themselves to hear whatever it is their mother has to say to the world. But is there anything Dina can say or do to repair her fractured family and win back the love of her children?

Meanwhile, over in Hollywood, Hilary is meeting with producer Howard Green (played by guest star David Faustino) at the rooftop bar when the sight of a major celebrity stops them in their tracks! “Oh!” Howard exclaims. “The beautiful and brilliant Julie Chen!” The normally cool as a cucumber Hilary is utterly starstruck at the sight of the television hostess. “Yes!” she marvels. “One of my journalism heroes.” Then she adds: “I have to meet her.” Will Hilary’s dream come true, or will the big Hollywood star have no time to waste on a small-town reporter?
