UPDATE: Cooper Will Be Back At Y&R By Christmas!

THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS grande dame, Jeanne Cooper (Katherine) is on the mend! “I am back,” she announced to fans on her Facebook page on November 8. “As most of you know I have been under the weather for quite some time now. But the good news is that I will be going back to work next week. Boy I did get hit hard with a nasty bug! Thank you all for your well wishes. They mean so very much to me. I love to all and hope to be able to post more often. Much, much love, Jeanne.”

As previously reported, Y&R had to temporarily recast the character of Katherine with THE WALTONS star Michael Learned last month when Cooper needed to take a short medical leave from the soap. Learned will make her Y&R debut tomorrow, Thursday, November 10. There’s been no confirmation yet from the show as to when Cooper will return to the screen.

UPDATE: A spokesperson for Y&R reports that Cooper will be back on-screen on Friday, December 23 — just in time to celebrate Christmas in Genoa City!
