West’s Y&R Gig Goes South

Less than a year after she joined the cast of THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS, insiders whisper to Soaps In Depth that Maura West has been let go as Diane. Although West won multiple Emmys for her turn on AS THE WORLD TURNS as Carly, the talented actress just couldn’t get the same lightning to strike twice with her Y&R role, as viewers and industry insiders alike found the fan favorite miscast in the role of Victor’s ex (and current!) wife. There’s no word yet on how West — or Diane — will exit the canvas. Y&R had no comment.
