Stunned to discover that Phyllis has been having an affair with Billy, Jack confronts his wife, demanding that she admit it herself. “Yes or no, Phyllis?” he barks as she flinches from his fury. “Yes or no?!”
Meanwhile, Ashley warns Billy that Jack knows the truth. “The moment you and Phyllis gave in to each other,” she says, “Jack’s marriage was doomed. Whether or not he ever found out about it.”
