Chandler Massey and Zach Tinker Are Leaving DAYS OF OUR LIVES

WilSon fans should prepare to say goodbye to their favorite Salem couple because both Chandler Massey and Zach Tinker are leaving DAYS OF OUR LIVES.

Massey will exit when Will returns to New Zealand the week of Feb. 13, Soap Opera Digest reports in their new issue. And Tinker is also leaving the soap, though they didn’t specify exactly when. But hopefully, the guys will leave town together to live happily ever after (at least until their next return to Salem!).

Massey first stepped into the role of Will Horton back in 2010 and remained until 2013. In 2014, the role was recast with Guy Wilson until the character was killed off in October 2015. But in September 2017, it was revealed that Will was very much alive, and Massey stepped back into his shoes. After exiting again in September 2020, Massey reprised the role for occasional appearances, both on DAYS and its spinoff, BEYOND SALEM.

After Freddie Smith departed the role of Sonny Kirakis in September 2020, Tinker — who had previously played Fen Baldwin on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS — took over for an appearance on BEYOND SALEM in 2021. He later returned to DAYS proper the following year.

Massey has found success appearing in Hallmark movies like Next Stop, Christmas, Heart of the Matter, and A Tale of Two Christmases. Tinker recently returned to Y&R for a special anniversary episode and has also begun his new role as Colin O’Reilly, a new firefighter on the CBS primetime series FIRE COUNTRY.
