DAYS’ Dan Feurriegel is Now a United States Citizen!

Please join us in congratulating DAYS OF OUR LIVES star Dan Feurriegel (EJ) on becoming a citizen of the United States of America! The Australian native shared his exciting news on Instagram, declaring “I did a thing.”

As the DAYS hunk further explained, after being in the U.S. for a decade, he figured it was about time that he made things official. “I’ve been here 10 years,” he wrote. “Guess I now have to stay a little longer.”

The photo that Feurriegel chose to accompany his big announcement included a Certificate of Citizenship, a letter from President Biden congratulating him on the accomplishment, and a mini stuffed koala bear — an animal native to his homeland — holding an American flag. “Don’t worry Australia,” he quipped. “You’ll always be my first.”

Feurriegel’s soap co-stars quickly jumped in to extend their well wishes, like fellow Aussie Thaao Pehghlis (Tony) and Scotland native Paul Telfer (Xander). Alison Sweeney (Sami) offered a “congrats” with multiple exclamation points, Raven Bowens (Chanel) punctuated her note of congratulations with a heart emoji, and Greg Rikaart (Leo) commented with two clapping hands.

Born and raised in New South Wales and Queensland, Australia, Feurriegel began his professional career after studying acting at the Queensland University of Technology. After appearing in several Australian theatrical productions, he segued to television with roles on Aussie soaps MCLEOD’S DAUGHTERS, HOME AND AWAY, and ALL SAINTS. Feurriegel gained international recognition when he starred as gladiator Agron in Starz’s SPARTACUS series and found his way to American soap operas when he was tapped to be the highly anticipated recast of EJ DiMera on DAYS in 2021.

Congratulations to the newest citizen of the United States!
