DAYS OF OUR LIVES Renewed!

Great news for soap fans — DAYS OF OUR LIVES has been renewed for another two years! This renewal will see the drama in Salem continuing through to 2025 when DAYS will celebrate its 60th anniversary! “It’s always been a family,” Deidre Hall (Marlena) declared. “It’s always been a home. And we’re so glad to have you with us.”

Created by Ted and Betty Corday, DAYS premiered on Nov. 8, 1965, and aired on NBC until September 2023 when it shifted over to the network’s streaming service, Peacock. Although fans feared the worst, the move turned out to be positive as the soap has consistently been one of the streamer’s top titles.

This success made this most recent renewal a much quicker process as opposed to recent years where negotiations between distributor Sony Pictures Television and NBC would often come down to the wire, leaving fans nervous. In fact, in 2021, production on the soap was paused as NBC and Sony negotiated the last renewal that kept DAYS airing through to this year.

DAYS continues to be a success for Peacock and recently won the 2023 Writers Guild of America Award for Best Daytime Drama. It has also won over 60 Daytime Emmy Awards during its five decades on the air.

So raise your glass and toast to another two years of daytime drama on DAYS… and many more to come in the future!
