Following Jake’s tragic death, the DiMieras swarmed around like vultures, attempting to get their hands on his shares of the family company. But even as Ava agreed to claim that they were married before his demise, Jake’s corpse was wheeled away by Kristen and Dr. Rolf for nefarious purposes of their own.

“Jake is dead,” Rolf announces to a disappointed Kristen in their secret lair. But with the “patient” laying in the hospital bed, the mad doctor takes Kristen aside and gives her a glimmer of hope. “There is one more thing I can try,” he offers. Desperate, Kristen orders: “Do it.”

And later, Rolf pulls back the curtain on his latest triumph. “Behold!” he declares. Kristen’s eyes go wide. “Oh my God,” she gasps as Dr. Rolf raises his fist in triumph and laughs maniacally. Has he found a way to bring Jake back… or has he implanted someone else’s mind into Jake’s body? With this guy, you never know!
