Jackée Harry Joins the Cast of DAYS OF OUR LIVES!

A very familiar face is showing up in Salem when Jackée Harry joins the cast of DAYS OF OUR LIVES! The actress announced the news during an appearance on TODAY. “I am going to be joining the cast of [a] big, big soap opera on NBC, DAYS OF OUR LIVES,” she declared.

Harry, who got her start playing Lily on NBC sudser ANOTHER WORLD, became a huge TV star playing Sandra on the classic sitcom 227 back in the ‘80s. In her extensive career, the actress has appeared on television series like SISTER, SISTER and EVERYBODY HATES CHRIS, and more recently could be seen in movies like A Christmas for Mary and The Wrong Wedding Planner.

As for Harry’s role on DAYS, she would only offer a little tease of what viewers can look forward to. “She’s fabulous!” she gushed. “You know I play the fabulous woman, you know that. It’s a brand-new storyline with African-Americans. And they’ve been at the forefront of hiring minorities; they have a lot of diversity on DAYS. I don’t want to give away the storyline, but I have a daughter and… you know, ain’t nothing but trouble in River City! But I”m told I’ll be fabulous.”
