Jada on DAYS OF OUR LIVES — Everything You Need To Know
Jada Hunter made quite a splash on DAYS OF OUR LIVES when she first appeared in Salem and joined the police department. The character debuted in July 2022 and is played by actress Elia Cantu, who might be familiar to viewers from her roles in primetime series like BLACK-ISH, THIS IS US, and 9-1-1.
Jada Hunter was already familiar with Salem when she arrived in town because her father, Marcus Hunter, used to live there many years ago. As soon as she showed up, she met with Rafe Hernandez and immediately landed a job as a detective with the Salem P.D.. And she hit the ground running, investigating the murder of Abigail DiMera. In fact, Jada interrupted Xander and Sarah’s wedding to question the bride about the crime! She also shot and killed a mugger who had previously attacked Nicole Walker and killed Jake DiMera.
Rafe decided to partner Jada with Shawn Brady and they continued working on finding Abigail’s killer. With Chad DiMera’s help, she searched the DiMera basement and found evidence tying Leo Stark to the crime. After setting off sparks with Eric Brady, Jada asked him out on a date. Things moved quickly, and when she asked him to fix her broken air conditioning, the pair fell into bed together! When Nicole later knocked on Eric’s door, she was startled to see a half-naked Jada and even more shaken when Jada announced they’d had sex.
Aware that Eric still had feelings for Nicole, Jada was still heartbroken to catch the pair kissing at work. And when Eric admitted he was leaving her for Nicole, Jada revealed that she was pregnant with his baby! Although he promised to support her and his child, Jada chose to have an abortion after a conversation with Nicole where she pointed out how a baby would complicate her career and life.
Keep watching DAYS to see what happens next!
