Tamara Braun Says Goodbye to DAYS OF OUR LIVES

Tags:

Yes, the Dec. 20 episode was Ava’s last as Tamara Braun is out again at DAYS OF OUR LIVES. “Thought I’d share some of my memories from the last (almost) two years,” the actress captioned her video montage of pictures and clips taken backstage, on the soap’s set, and various other places. “Starts at the end and ends at the start with my first nasal swab. Oh, COVID!

“Thanks for all the love and support you continue to show me,” she continued, addressing her fans directly. “I will miss you all! Wait, I’ll still be here — you can find me on Instagram! Much love.”

Braun first joined the cast of DAYS back in February 2008 as Mafia princess Ava Vitali. After exiting the soap in August of that year, she returned to the soap in 2011 to play another character, Taylor Walker. But in December 2015, she was back in Salem as Ava again, only to meet a seemingly-fatal end in March 2016. However, as DAYS fans know, death is usually only a state of mind on that show, so Ava was back to stir up more trouble in November 2020!

Braun made her daytime debut as Carly Corinthos on ABC sudser GENERAL HOSPITAL, a role she played from 2001-05, earning a Daytime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in 2004. She won the Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in 2009 for her work on DAYS and then again in 2020 for her return to GH as Kim Nero.

Ava’s recent reign of terror came to an end as she attempted to blow up Susan’s funeral and was caught in the blast. As her hallucinations of her late son, Charlie, worsened, it became clear she was seriously disturbed and Ava was sent off to Bayview for treatment. So it’s entirely possible she’ll be back in Salem one day… hopefully feeling much better!

“Gonna miss you so much!” declared TV son Lucas Adams (Tripp), to which Braun replied: “You too, my ‘Golden Boy!’ Love you!”
