The 2020 GENERAL HOSPITAL Nurses Ball Will Air This Month!
The GENERAL HOSPITAL Nurses Ball is coming up sooner than you might think! The soap’s executive producer, Frank Valentini, revealed in an interview that they were still going to do the annual event and now has announced that it will be happening this month! “You’re invited!” he tweeted along with an image of the new Nurses Ball logo for 2020 and text that reports it will be happening in August.
Naturally, it wouldn’t be the Nurses Ball without Lucy Coe as your mistress of ceremonies, and her portrayer, Lynn Herring, quickly responded, “And here we go!” as soon as her boss posted his tweet.
Although the Nurses Ball is typically held in the spring, with the most recent shows airing during the middle of May, that was impossible to do this year due to GH suspending production in March due to the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic. Now that the soap has gone back to work after four months on hiatus, they’re sticking to the original plan and the Nurses Ball is coming up next.
While the coronavirus safety precautions should mean the 2020 Nurses Ball will look slightly different than previous productions, the show — as they say — must go on. And we wouldn’t have it any other way. Bring on the musical numbers and the drama!
