A Sneak Peak at GENERAL HOSPITAL’s 60th Anniversary Cast Photo!
In honor of GENERAL HOSPITAL’s upcoming 60th anniversary — coming up on Saturday, April 1 — the iconic soap opera’s current stars gathered together for a cast photo. And with every actor and actress decked out in black-tie attire, it was most definitely a classy affair!
The official “class photo” — as GH is calling the milestone portrait — will be unveiled on Tuesday, Feb. 14, but the soap shared a video that is chock full of all the behind-the-scenes fun that was had when the group gathered to smile for the camera.
“Happy Birthday,” cheered Cassandra James (Terry), while side-hugging Eden McCoy (Josslyn). Next, Amanda Setton (Brook Lynn) marveled that “the entire cast is here today for the 60th anniversary,” as the video showed Tahj Bellow (T.J.) and Haley Pullos (Molly) posing for a close-up.
The camera then panned to the entire cast “cheers-ing” with champagne glasses as Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) was heard in a voiceover, “The love that everybody has for this show…” he trailed off as Cynthia Watros (Nina) appeared in the frame and finished his sentence by declaring, “It’s amazing.”
Donnell Turner (Curtis) also was in awe of how the men and women of Port Charles have been entertaining audiences for six decades. “60 years,” he marveled. Then, longtime cast member Wally Kurth quipped, “And we’re still here.”
The next generation of Port Charles — Tabyana Ali (Trina), Nicholas Alexander Chavez (Spencer), McCoy, Evan Hofer (Dex), Avery Pohl (Esme), and William Lipton (Cameron) — all had a moment in front of the camera, cheering that “of course!” the beloved soap is still thriving.
The clip then ended with leading ladies Maura West (Ava) and Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis) giving each other a high-five. “Do people still do that?” Grahn wondered as West burst into a fit of laughter. “See, I still have AOL.”
