Adam Huss Thanks His General Hospital Fans
Viewers were treated to another appearance from Adam Huss as Nikolas in the Aug. 27 episode of General Hospital when Laura visited her son in prison to see if he could be a match to donate liver tissue to save Lulu’s life. Unfortunately, he wasn’t, and the appearance was just the one episode, which disappointed the group of loyal fans he has gathered since taking over the role. Still, they were excited to see him again and the actor was grateful for the continued support.
“Thank you,” he shared on Twitter/X. “I am honored. I am deeply passionate about playing Nikolas and telling his story. So as I’ve said and will continue to say… all the love and encouragement means a hell of a lot to me. Not one post or message of love goes unappreciated. Please know that, GH fans!”
Huss first stepped into the role of the much-recast Nikolas Cassadine back in September 2021 for just an episode when portrayer Marcus Coloma was unavailable. He then returned for a week in November and when Coloma exited the soap, Huss took over in January 2023 to wrap up the storyline. But that wasn’t the end of the character and when Nikolas resurfaced, Huss continued to make the occasional appearance.
Still, fans are upset that Nikolas is still rotting away in prison for abducting Esme and would love nothing more than for him to be released early for good behavior so that he could return to the GH canvas full-time. Especially since it would mean Nikolas could once again spar with his brother, Lucky, now that Jonathan Jackson is back on the soap. “That would be epic,” Huss declared of the idea.
If the sporadic appearances as Nikolas aren’t enough, fans of the actor can see him in recent movies like Home, Not Alone, Three Dates to Forever, and Couples Retreat Murder. They can also download the ReelShort app to enjoy his performance in Pregnant By My Ex’s Dad, an interactive movie the viewer controls as the story unfolds! And hopefully, one day, Nikolas will be released from prison and Huss will be back in Port Charles again!
