GH Alum Alicia Leigh Willis Is Engaged to Tanner Foust!
A woman never forgets her marriage proposal. And GENERAL HOSPITAL alum Alicia Leigh Willis (ex-Courtney) certainly had an absolutely magical one this past weekend! The actress’ longtime boyfriend, Tanner Foust, popped the question on August 8 while the couple was vacationing in Paris!
What made the proposal so beautiful was the breathtaking backdrop: The Eiffel Tower behind them, aglow in warm yellow lights at nightfall! On Instagram, Willis shared a photo of the exact moment Foust got down on one knee to ask her to be his wife. “So, about last night…” she wrote. “How in the world did I get so lucky to spend my life with this incredible man? Happiest night of my life! You and both of our girls mean everything to me.”
Willis, a single mom, began dating Foust, a single dad, several years ago, and now they will be blending their families together with her daughter, Simone, and his daughter, Grace! Foust is a professional race car driver and stunt performer, who has worked on films and television shows including Ford v Ferrari, Free Man, WESTWORLD, several Fast & Furious movies, and co-hosted TOP GEAR USA. The X-Games champion inspired his lady love to take stunt driving lessons in the past, and he’s also a licensed pilot like Willis.
As longtime GH fans will remember, Willis joined the cast of the soap as Courtney Matthews in 2001 and played the role until Sonny’s little sister was killed off in 2006 during the Encephalitis outbreak in Port Charles. After sadly contracting the virus, a pregnant Courtney chose to save her unborn child’s life rather than her own, leading Nikolas to raise Spencer as a single father. Willis returned to the soap in 2015 as a vision to her son, who had been badly burned in a fire, and again in 2020 to help her dying father, Mike, cross over to the afterlife.
Since leaving daytime, Willis has been a staple in Lifetime’s made-for-TV thrillers, most recently appearing opposite THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS star Conner Floyd (Chance) in Stolen in Her Sleep.
