No, your eyes weren’t playing tricks on you — that was a new Charlotte on GENERAL HOSPITAL in the April 10 episode. AnaSofia Bianchi made her daytime debut as she took over the role of Valentin’s daughter, waiting with him for an update on Anna’s surgery.
BIanchi’s previous credits include voice work for the videogame Kingdom Hearts III and the animated series DRONERS, an episode of the Netflix series THE KOMINSKY METHOD and the Lifetime movies My Sister’s Serial Killer Boyfriend and The Nanny Murders (which co-starred a few former GH actors, including the original Charlotte, Scarlett Fernandez!).
The character of Charlotte Cassadine was introduced back in October 2016 and was played by Fernandez until her exit in December 2021. That month, Amelie McLain stepped in as Valentin and Lulu’s little girl. Her last appearance was on Jan 30 when Charlotte was brought to the safe house to reunite with her presumed-dead father.
There has been no official word on whether or not this recast is permanent or if Bianchi is just filling in temporarily for McClain, who has recently been pretty busy recently promoting the cult hit horror movie Terrifier 2 where she stars as The Little Pale Girl.
