GH Alum Anthony Montgomery Celebrates His 50th and Shares His Fitness Journey

Please join us in wishing Anthony Montgomery (ex-Andre, GENERAL HOSPITAL) a very happy birthday! The actor shared a special post on June 2 to commemorate a milestone birthday. “This is 50,” he wrote. “Thank you, God. I’m blessed and grateful to be here. Thank you.

Never cut carbs again! Do this instead—it’s better than keto and there’s NO cutting carbs.

“Thank you to my wonderful family and friends for loving me along the way,” Montgomery continued. “Thank you to all my awesome fans and everyone else who has rocked with me and supported and loved me through the years. I love and appreciate all of you! I’m excited to see where this next chapter takes us! More adventures on the way!”

Montgomery played Dr. Andre Maddox from 2015-17 and then returned to GH for brief stints in 2018 and 2019. He can currently be seen playing Elijah on BET’s primetime drama THE FAMILY BUSINESS. In addition to sharing his birthday gratitude, the actor shared some additional photos showing how he’s getting himself back in shape. “I did a COVID dad-bod pic in the middle of the pandemic last year and never posted it,” he confided. “Will Smith inspired me to say what the hell. Thanks, Will! I also felt so gross that I put in the work to lose the dad-bod. I’m not in my best shape yet, but I’m making progress. Not bad for 50 — technically, I was still 49).

Montgomery also revealed that he’s not celebrating his 50th with a big bash… at least, not yet! “My daughter and one of my closest friends are planning a 50th party in the fall,” he reported. “Party time coming soon!”

Congratulations on your 50th — and your fitness progress! — and we can’t wait to see what comes next!
