Briana Lane Says Goodbye to GENERAL HOSPITAL
When Brook Lynn left Port Charles in the Nov. 16 episode of GENERAL HOSPITAL, that was the end of Briana Lane’s run in the role. “Playing the role of Brook Lynn Quartermaine on GH has been an absolute joy and honor,” she shared on Twitter. “I feel lucky to have been surrounded by such a gifted cast, kind crew, and passionate producers these past four months and it’s an experience that I will always hold close to my heart.”
The character of Brook Lynn returned to the canvas in November 2019 with Amanda Setton taking over the role, but she had to step down in the summer of 2020 as she was pregnant with her third child. So beginning with the Aug. 6 episode, Briana Lane took over while Setton was on maternity leave.
“And a huge thank you to all the fans who have been so welcoming to the new kid!” Lane added. “Your support has meant the world. Passing the baton back to the beautiful and mega-talented Amanda Setton. Looking forward to watching what will definitely be a new and exciting chapter for BLQ!”
Given that when Brook Lynn returned to Bensonhurst, she had a pregnancy test in her bag, there’s every chance that when she returns to Port Charles, she’ll be carrying Valentin’s baby! Which is ironic, being that Setton left because she was pregnant, and when she returns to the soap, she’ll have to wear a fake baby bump for her scenes until she gives birth on the show!
Well, that is unless Brook Lynn doesn’t return until after she’s given birth, but we don’t want to have to wait that long! Stay tuned to see when Brook Lynn comes back to GH and what happens next!
