Well, it turns out there was no smoke without fire! Bryan Craig is coming back to General Hospital as Morgan Corinthos!

After Frank Valentini teased at the Daytime Emmy Awards that a cast member was coming back that fans would be excited to see again, speculation went into overdrive. And then Craig fanned the flames by reposting stories about the mysterious comeback and later sharing a photo seemingly recently snapped at the GH studio.

But Craig was not trolling fans after all! TV Line is confirming that he will be reprising the role of the late Morgan Corinthos in early August. Sadly, it’s just going to be for the one episode, so the character is not coming back from the dead.

Craig joined the cast of GH back in 2013 and earned four Daytime Emmy Award nominations and two wins for Outstanding Younger Actor during his time with the soap. After Morgan was killed off in a car bomb, his portrayer went on to find success in primetime series like Valor, Grand Hotel, and Good Trouble as well as in films like American Fighter, Ride, Women Is Losers, and That’s Amor

Back in 2018, Craig returned to the soap for a special episode that centered around Ava, where she was visited by the ghosts of her past, including Morgan. With Sonny off his meds and alienating his family, perhaps a spectral visit from Morgan could be just the thing to get him back on track?
