Viewers who want to see more of GENERAL HOSPITAL’s Cassandra James (Terry) can look forward to watching her as Olympia in season two of SORT OF! “It’s true!” the actress tweeted. “My character Olympia is back for season two of SORT OF on HBO Max Dec. 1!”

SORT OF is a Canadian sitcom that was originally aired on CBC Television in Canada and streams on HBO MAX in the United States. It centers around the character of Sabi Mehboob, played by Bilal Baig, who is a Pakistani-Canadian trying to navigate life as they embrace their non-binary identity and struggle against the cultural expectations put upon them.

Transgender actress James portrays the transgender character of Olympia in the comedy series. She is a new employee of Google who moved to Toronto for her job, and when she met Sabi at one of their friends’ parties, they became fast friends.

James made history when she joined GH back in June 2018 as the first trans actress to portray a trans character on a daytime soap opera. She has also appeared in an episode of the Canadian legal drama DIGGSTOWN, which stars her former GH castmate Vinessa Antoine (ex-Jordan) as well as starring in the indie holiday film A Christmas Sunset.

“This show is a complete joy to be a part of and Bilal is a star!” James enthused when the first season debuted on CBC Gem. Nominated in multiple categories at the 2022 Canadian Screen Awards, SORT OF went home with trophies for Best Comedy Series, Best Writing in a Comedy Series, and Best Makeup. Season two premieres on CBC Gem on Friday, Nov. 18, and on HBO Max on Thursday, Dec. 1.
