Chad Duell and Courtney Hope Are Engaged!
Congratulations to real-life loves Chad Duell (Michael, GENERAL HOSPITAL) and Courtney Hope (Sally, THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS) on their engagement! Valentine’s Day 2021 was extra special for Hope as her beau used the romantic holiday to pop the question! “Yesterday was a good day,” she shared on Instagram with some selfies and a close-up of the gorgeous ring. “Forever with this man is a dream come true.” And if there was any question as to how she would respond to this life-changing question, Hope also added the hashtag “#umHellYes!”
On his own Instagram, Duell shared some similar pictures and wrote: “I’m one lucky dude.” And his fiancée commented: “I love you so much!” And naturally, their co-stars were quick to join the fans in congratulating the happy couple on their big news. GH’s Laura Wright (Carly) wished her TV son all the best along with Katy MacMullen (Willow), Josh Swickard (Chase), Eden McCoy (Josslyn), Sofia Mattson (Sasha), and Johnny Wactor (Brando). Hope’s Y&R castmate Michael Mealor (Kyle) and former THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL rival Katrina Bowden (Flo) shared the love as well.
Hope and Duell first met back in 2015 when they were introduced to each other by his TV brother, Bryan Craig (ex-Morgan, GH). They hit it off immediately and found they had quite a lot in common. Back in 2018, they were still just enjoying each other’s company and not really thinking about marriage. “If we’re going to spend the rest of our lives together,” Hope told Soaps In Depth at the time, “why rush it?”
