Easton Rocket Sweda Thanks GENERAL HOSPITAL Fans for the Love
When Leo was diagnosed with autism on GENERAL HOSPITAL, his portrayer, Easton Rocket Sweda, shared on Instagram that he was also diagnosed with autism when he was younger. And a week later, his parents posted another video to Instagram expressing their gratitude for the outpouring of love and support they’ve received from fans.
“Wow!” they wrote. “We just want to thank everyone for the unbelievably kind words regarding Easton Rocket’s autism announcement. We were overwhelmed by how many of you were so loving and supportive of him. We never expected this response. We loved your autism stories, too. Thank you so much!”
“Hey guys, I’m Easton Rocket Sweda,” the young star said in the video shot in his bedroom. “The last video we posted I talked about my autism. And you guys loved it so much. So I’m here to say thank you very much about all the love you gave my last video. Thank you very much. I hope you had a good new year the other day. Bye!” And again, he closed by blowing a kiss and waving goodbye.
The character of Leo Falconeri was born back in 2015 and played by a series of twins, Pressly James Crosby, Max Matenko, and Aaron Bradshaw. Sweda stepped into the role in August 2021, just as the soap began telling the storyline where Leo was diagnosed with autism.
Leo’s biological father is Julian Jerome, but Ned stepped up to claim the child to protect him from Julian’s criminal world. And now that Julian is dead, Ned has taken steps to officially adopt Leo to be his legal father. And while Olivia was initially hesitant to have her son evaluated by the specialist, she eventually came around and now she and Ned are a united front to raise Leo together and deal with any challenges they face along the way.
