Emily Wilson Returns to GENERAL HOSPITAL!

Please join us in welcoming Ellie back to Port Charles! Emily Wilson is returning to GENERAL HOSPITAL as revealed in the teaser for the Friday, Dec. 23, episode.

Wilson first joined the cast of GH back in September 2012 as hospital lab tech Ellie Trout, and exited alongside Bradford Anderson’s Spinelli in December 2013. In the years that followed, the actress popped back for the occasional visit, her last substantial one being in spring 2015 when Ellie worked with Nathan to split up Spinelli and Maxie so they could each reunite with their true loves.

Since leaving GH, Wilson has appeared in primetime series like CASTLE and THE NEWSROOM as well as the films Tenured and Brothered Up. She also married actor Adhir Kalyan in October 2016 and the couple welcomed their first child on March 23, 2021, daughter Mira.

Spinelli never could lie to Ellie!ABC

Ellie and Spinelli were very much in love, and she even considered Georgie, his daughter with Maxie, as her own. However, after living a relatively happy life off the canvas, Spinelli revealed in 2021 that Ellie had broken up with him and moved out because of his constant involvement with the Corinthos family and their illegal activities.

With this recent visit, it seems like Ellie is popping over to Port Charles to see Georgie for the holidays and immediately sees through Spinelli to realize that he’s in love with Maxie again. The question is, will she approve and help him win her back or persuade him that reuniting with the blonde is a terrible mistake?

You’ll just have to keep watching GH to find out!
