Emma Samms Reports She’s Recovering From Coronavirus

Tags:

The COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic is a worldwide situation, reaching far and wide to affect people across the globe. GENERAL HOSPITAL alum Emma Samms (ex-Holly), who lives in the UK, recently revealed on social media that she has also fallen ill, although like many, hasn’t been given a test to confirm her diagnosis. “I want to thank the English National Health Service, who looked after me so wonderfully yesterday,” she tweeted. “Symptoms meant I had to go to hospital, wasn’t admitted (thankfully), but therefore no test done. Doctors sure I’m COVID-19-positive, but with no proof, I can’t volunteer to help NHS when I’m better.”

Samms shared the news the day after her March 23 trip to the hospital, and then later revealed that being isolated as she continues to recover is sadly keeping her from her family. “This is my beautiful daughter, Micha,” the actress tweeted on March 29. “It’s her 22nd birthday today but she’s on her own and I’m on day 10 of dealing with coronavirus, so I can’t even give her a hug.” She also asked her fans to help her wish Micha a happy birthday on Twitter with replies and retweets, which you can do by checking out her tweet here.

Samms joins the other soap stars who have also fallen ill, like THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS’ Greg Rikaart (Kevin), GENERAL HOSPITAL’s Paulina Lule (Valerie) and Chloe Lanier (Nelle), and DAYS OF OUR LIVES’ Christie Clark (ex-Carrie). Please join us in wishing everyone a speedy recovery and that we all get through this pandemic safely so our favorite soaps can resume production and continue entertaining us with fictional drama!
