Emme Rylan Is Moving Again!

Tags:

Daytime alum Emme Rylan is on the move again! The actress — who has played Lulu on GENERAL HOSPITAL, Abby on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS, and Lizzie on GUIDING LIGHT — has been in a state of upheaval for quite some time now, and is looking forward to finally settling down for a change.

After being written off GH, Rylan and her family — partner Don Money and kids Jackson, Levi, and Dakota — went on a road trip to visit family in October 2020, and after returning to Los Angeles in the spring of 2021, struggled to find a home to rent but finally did. Unfortunately, her husband’s work as a producer/editor is taking them out of California again, as she explained in her Instagram stories. After hemming and hawing for a while and laughing at her difficulty actually saying the words out loud, Ryan finally informed fans: “We’re moving again.”

Admitting that eighty percent of their belongings are still in boxes, Rylan continued to explain the reason behind this major life decision. “We have decided that the best choice for our family right now is to leave Los Angeles for at least a year, possibly permanently… not sure,” she confided. “Yes, I’ll still be auditioning. Auditions are all via tape now anyway. Yes, I’ll be flying in to work. But we’re gonna try something different for a little while.

“So it’s not Nashville,” Rylan continued. “Don had a job opportunity there, but he also has work somewhere else so we are moving to St. Louis. This is gonna be a good kind of foundation… stable place for my kids and they’re super excited about it. We’re just really close to family and it’s been a rough two years so we want to get back to them.”

Still, Rylan reassured fans that she’s not giving up acting and would continue to commute back to Hollywood for work and more. “I will, however, be spending a little bit of time on airplanes,” she smiled. “You will still see me spending lots of time in L.A. My sister lives here and I will be going back and forth quite a bit so you’re gonna see me all over the place.

“Thank God we didn’t unpack!” she concluded with a laugh.

Please join us in wishing Rylan and her family all the best as they move on to the next stage in their lives, and keep checking back at SoapsInDepth.com for further updates on her family and future auditions and roles!
