GENERAL HOSPITAL to Air Encore Episodes on Fridays

With the soaps having suspended production due to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, fans have been wondering what will happen when they run out of the episodes that they have already filmed. Well, GENERAL HOSPITAL has come up with a novel solution, instituting a “Flashback Friday” beginning on Friday, April 3. “Yes! Fun stuff coming!” promised Laura Wright (Carly) on Twitter.

Every Friday, a GH star will introduce an encore episode, beginning with Wright introducing the April 3 episode re-airing the 56th Anniversary episode from 2019 centered around the reading of Gail Baldwin’s will. Future encore episodes will be announced at a later date.

This plan is scheduled to run through Friday, May 22, at which point everything will hopefully be back to normal and the cast and crew will be back at work taping new episodes to continue the never-ending drama in Port Charles. And if that plan doesn’t quite work out, we’ll be sure to let you know what ABC Daytime has in store next!
