Evan Hofer Teases Dex and Josslyn’s Future on GENERAL HOSPITAL
Relationships rarely run smoothly on a soap opera, but the romance between Dex and Josslyn on GENERAL HOSPITAL has been extra complicated right from the start! Josslyn hates Sonny, so Dex working for the mobster was already awkward, but add in the fact that he’s secretly working with Michael to take Sonny down and it gets even worse! But feelings like this just can’t be ignored…
“Obviously, he started falling for this girl a while ago, and that night, he almost loses her [to The Hook],” Evan Hofer (Dex) explained to Soap Opera Digest. “And to feel like he could have lost her, I think he just threw logic out the window. He’s like, ‘I can’t live without this girl.’ He felt like he can live with the consequences [of sleeping with her] but he couldn’t live with losing her.”
GH fans have fallen hard for the couple in the same way that Dex has fallen hard for Josslyn. “I think he likes that she stands up for what she believes in,” Hofer mused. “He really admires that she’s not afraid to say what’s on her mind. He loves her honesty. I think that’s a really important thing in a partner, that even if it’s not what you want to hear, they are willing to tell you hard truths when they need to be told.”
Adding some heat to the romance is the fact that they have to keep their relationship a secret because Sonny would not react well to it, and Michael has already warned Dex to keep his distance from his sister. But how much longer can Dex keep up this double life, working for Sonny while working with Michael? And can his relationship with Josslyn survive the inevitable explosion that’s coming?
“He wants the best of both worlds,” Hofer admitted. “He wants to be able to take Sonny down and take this dangerous man off the streets, but he also wants to explore whatever this relationship could be with Josslyn, so he’s trying to find a way to manage all that.”
