She became a card-carrying member of the Directors Guild of America back in December, but now you can watch GENERAL HOSPITAL star Finola Hughes make her television directorial debut with the episode of GOOD TROUBLE airing on Wednesday, Jan. 29! “This week, people!” the multi-talented performer tweeted. “I’m gonna live tweet for NY feed!” The episode, titled “Daylight” will air at 10 p.m. ET, which is when Hughes will be interacting with fans on Twitter as the show unspools. So make sure you’re following her at @finolahughes so you can join in!
In this dramatic new episode, Callie and Jamie’s relationship is tested by a case, Mariana’s position at Spekulate is threatened, Malika has a new opportunity that could be jeopardized by her legal issues, and Davia faces the unintended consequences of her behavior. Check out this sneak peek at a scene from Hughes’ episode she tweeted!
And now that her work behind the television cameras has made her a member of the Directors Guild of America, Hughes attended the DGA Awards on Jan. 26 alongside another GH actress-turned-director, Kimberly McCullough! The two played mother and daughter in Port Charles, but now both women are successful directors as well! (Sadly, McCullough has announced her retirement from acting, although GH fans are hopeful she might still put in the occasional cameo on the soap.)
So be sure to tune in to watch the first episode of broadcast television Hughes has directed when GOOD TROUBLE airs on Wednesday evening, and look forward to many more! And for more on your favorite GH stars, keep reading the ABC edition of Soaps In Depth magazine.
