GENERAL HOSPITAL Is Preempted Nationally Today

Although the hearings into the January 6 insurrection were supposed to be taking a recess until after the Fourth of July holiday, another was scheduled at the last minute, impacting the daytime schedule and causing GENERAL HOSPITAL to be preempted on June 28. “Due to ongoing breaking news coverage,” the soap tweeted, “today’s scheduled episode of GH will air tomorrow.”

But as with the other recent interruptions, this is a national preemption so fans don’t need to worry about missing a single episode. There’s no reason to go looking for today’s episode of GH on ABC.com or Hulu this evening because it won’t be there since it didn’t air at all anywhere in the country. Instead, all episodes will simply be bumped ahead one day and Tuesday’s episode will air on Wednesday, June 29.

One thing viewers do need to be aware of, though, is that if you record your favorite soaps on your cable DVR box, you might want to double-check the recordings for the next couple of days. Preemptions tend to screw up scheduled recordings and we don’t want anyone to miss a single moment of the drama! (Especially since the Monday cliffhanger was Willow passing out unexpectedly!)

So tune in on Wednesday when the drama picks right back up where it left off on Monday and we find out if Willow is okay, Carly gets some bad news, and so much more!
