GENERAL HOSPITAL Preempted on February 11

Due to the continuing national news coverage of the presidential impeachment trial, GENERAL HOSPITAL has again been preempted on Thursday, February 11. “We are continuing to monitor the ongoing breaking news coverage and have decided to shift today’s episode of GH (originally scheduled to air Tuesday),” the soap tweeted. “It will air tomorrow, all things permitting.”

National news coverage of the trial began on Feb. 9 and so did the preemptions. But fans don’t need to worry that they’ve missed an episode or have to try and watch it online to stay caught up. The last all-new episode of GH aired on Monday, and there have been no episodes broadcast since Feb. 8. Because the preemption is nationwide, GH is not airing in any time zones so the network is choosing to simply wait until they are able to run the next episode instead of putting it online at ABC.com or Hulu.

At this time there is no way of knowing exactly how long the trial will continue to interfere with the regular schedules of daytime programming, but keep checking back at SoapsInDepth.com because we will keep you up to date on all the preemptions and schedule changes. We don’t want anyone to miss a single episode of their favorite soaps! And soon enough, we’ll all be able to get back to enjoying some fictional drama on our TV’s for a change!
