GENERAL HOSPITAL Preempted on February 9

Fans will have to wait a little longer for the next all-new episode of GENERAL HOSPITAL because the soap was preempted for national news coverage of the second presidential impeachment trial. “Due to ongoing breaking news coverage,” the soap tweeted, “today’s scheduled episode of GH will instead air tomorrow.”

Of course, if the trial continues, it will likely preempt the soaps for additional days, but at least fans know that they haven’t missed an episode. This was a national preemption which means that no episode aired, so fans don’t have to worry about seeking it out online or on demand because it wasn’t broadcast in their time zone. Today’s episode wasn’t broadcast at all.

With Sonny’s funeral about to begin and Nina on the verge of proving that he’s really alive, these are episodes no GH fan will want to miss. So keep checking back at SoapsInDepth.com for further updates at the trial — and interruptions of the regular daytime TV schedule — continues.
