General Hospital Spoilers 7/5/22: Sonny Wants Answers!

Things are heating up in these new GENERAL HOSPITAL spoilers! Brook Lynn has news for Chase, Cameron wants to come clean with Josslyn, Esme corners Spencer, Carly tries to avoid Sonny, Drew has a proposition for Nina, and Sonny demands the truth from Spinelli!

Chase has been feeling down ever since Linc filed a civilian complaint against him. Considering that he was already on suspension, the grievance further placed the detective’s job on the line. But after meeting with her Uncle Sonny, the news that Brook Lynn has for her friend might give Chase hope that his career with the police force isn’t completely kaput! “Today,” she promises her friend at the Metro Court pool, “is the day I change your life.”

Elsewhere at the pool, Josslyn’s noticed that Cameron hasn’t quite been acting like himself lately. But when she tries to convince her boyfriend yet again to let her know what’s going on, Cam brushes her off rather than tell her that he’s helping Spencer try to clear Trina’s name. “You have no idea how much I’d like to unload,” he sighs, much to his girlfriend’s dismay.

Meanwhile, just as Spencer is about to go up to the pool to assist Cameron in their scheme, he unexpectedly runs into Esme at the garden restaurant. Cornering her boyfriend, Esme taunts, “Now what are you going to do with me?” Will Spencer be able to ditch his girlfriend and press ahead with his and Cam’s plan to collect mother/daughter DNA from Joss and Carly up at the pool?

After signing away her biggest asset — the Metro Court — to invest in Aurora Media and losing, Carly is understandably stressed out. So when her ex-husband arrives at the hotel’s restaurant, she is desperate to keep him from knowing how much financial trouble she’s gotten herself into. “Don’t say a word to Sonny,” she begs Olivia.

Things didn’t go well for Drew, either, with the failed Aurora/ELQ merger. He approaches Nina with a business proposition, but the shrew Crimson editor isn’t so quick to jump on his proposal. “Why do I have a feeling that there’s another angle?” she questions.

Spinelli has been acting all kinds of cagey lately, and the deal he’s made with Cody clearly has him out of sorts. Is Spinelli hoping that Sonny might be able to help him out where the newcomer is concerned? “What kind of trouble are you in with this Cody Bell?” Sonny asks the Jackal when they meet up at the Metro Court. But Spinelli might not have a chance to come clean with Sonny, because Cody is also at the restaurant… and wastes no time in reminding Spinelli of their mutual arrangement. “I’ve been keeping your secret,” a smug Cody informs Spinelli. Might he be preparing to blackmail Spinelli again?
