GENERAL HOSPITAL’s Nikolas Recast With Adam Huss Again

Tags:

Fans were once again taken aback to see a new Nikolas on GENERAL HOSPITAL, although the face should be familiar because Adam Huss has filled in before! “So honored to be back on GH today as Nikolas Cassadine,” he shared on Instagram after the Jan. 31 episode aired. “Love working with everyone involved.”

The role of Nikolas Cassadine has seen quite a few recasts over the years. The character was first introduced back in 1996 with Tyler Christopher playing the Cassadine prince. In 1999, Colton Scott took over, but Christopher reprised the role in 2003 and continued playing Nik until his 2016 exit. However, Nick Stabile stepped in at the very end to usher the character off the canvas. When Nikolas returned to Port Charles in 2019 very much alive, the role had been recast with Marcus Coloma.

However, Adam Huss filled in for Coloma for an episode in September 2021 and then again for a week-long stint in November 2022. And now, with Coloma unable to tape his final episodes, Huss is once again taking over to help wrap up the storyline.

Besides his previous stints as Nikolas, Huss might be familiar to viewers from his roles in primetime series like LAS VEGAS, CSI: NY, NCIS, THE BAR, and POWER as well as TV movies like The Wrong Woman, Witness Unprotected, and Fiancé Killer.

While Huss is said to be filling in as Nikolas in order to wrap up the character’s storyline and facilitate his exit, the actor has made quite a few fans among GH viewers who are hoping that The Powers That Be will adjust their plans and keep Nikolas around… with Huss playing him permanently!
