GH Alum Ryan Carnes Signs With Sovereign Talent Group

Tags:

Daytime alum Ryan Carnes (ex-Lucas, GENERAL HOSPITAL) has signed with Sovereign Talent Group, one of Hollywood’s leading global talent agencies, under its theatrical division, per Deadline.

Carnes is best known to soap fans for playing Lucas Jones on GH from 2004-05 and then again from 2014-20. After he left the show in 2005, the role was recast with Ben Hogestyn, who remained for just one year before being written out. Carnes reprised the role in 2014, but after the Wiley baby switch reveal in early 2020, Lucas’ screen time diminished and in November of that year, Matt Trudeau suddenly took over the role with no announcement from ABC.

In addition to GH, at the beginning of his career, Carnes played Justin in the first two seasons of primetime sudser DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES and Laszlo in two episodes of the sci-fi classic DOCTOR WHO. The talented actor has also guest-starred in episodes of series like BONES, NCIS, RIZZOLI & ISLES, BLACKOUT, and SUBURGATORY.

In 2018, Carnes starred opposite Omar Chaparro in La Boda de Valentina, one of Mexico’s top-grossing films ever, which also got him featured on the cover of Men’s Health Mexico. Most recently, he starred as Charlie in the Hulu holiday movie Cupid for Christmas, where he was the most romantically challenged person on Earth who Ruby must find love for in order to take over as Cupid.

Please join us in wishing Carnes all the best as he continues to expand his career with this new talent agency, and obviously, keep checking back here at SoapsInDepth.com for more updates on where you can see the actor next!
