GH’s Lydia Look Has an Exciting New Role in Star Wars!
Fans of General Hospital scene-stealer Lydia Look (Selina) can catch the actress in an exciting new role… although they won’t technically get to see her in it! She’s voicing a character in the new animated series Star Wars: Tales of the Empire, streaming now on Disney+!
“So chuffed to be voicing Matron of the Mountain Clan and kicking ass in Star Wars: Tales of the Empire,” Look declared on Instagram, sharing the official Star Wars post featuring art from the series. “PS — I’m the bottom left character in the halo of light. Thank you, Dave Filoni and team for letting me be a part of this galaxy!”
The six-episode mini-series Star Wars: Tales of the Empire centers around two different characters in two different time periods as one turns to a path of vengeance and the other tries to survive. Look’s character of the Mountain Clan Matron appears in the first episode, “The Path of Fear” when her clan takes in one of the show’s main characters.
Look earned legions of loyal soap fans with her role of mobster Selina Wu on GH. After debuting back in 2015, she began appearing more frequently in 2021 and still pops up now and then to stir the pot. In addition to her work in film and television, the actress has done other voice work for animated series like The Proud Family, films like White Snake, and even videogames like Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City.
Look’s castmates were also excited for her Star Wars debut with Kathleen Gati (Obrecht) wishing her “Congratulations!” and Michael Easton (Finn) declaring: “Very cool.”
So while you wait for Look to bring Selina back to Port Charles on GH, check her out in Star Wars: Tales of the Empire!
