Inga Cadranel Reveals Why Harmony Was Recast on GENERAL HOSPITAL
Viewers were surprised to see Harmony looking a little different in the March 10 episode of GENERAL HOSPITAL but Inga Cadranel reached out on social media to reassure fans that it’s only a temporary recast and explain the reason behind it.
When fans saw soap vet Priscilla Garita playing Harmony, many reached out to Cadranel on social media to find out what was up. “To all those GH fans who reached out about the other actress playing Harmony in the latest episodes,” she responded on Twitter. “I appreciate you! You’re all so lovely. I had COVID during that taping time.”
Temporary recasts have become more and more common these days, especially on GH. But thankfully, they’re just temporary, whether for health or scheduling reasons. Cadranel debuted on GH back in February 2019 during the Dawn of Day storyline and has been developing the character of Harmony ever since. Thankfully, she promises she’s “all better now!” In fact, on the very day that Garita was appearing as Harmony on the soap, Cadranel shared a selfie from her GH dressing room showing off her stunning wardrobe for the day’s shooting!
While there’s been no official announcement from ABC as to whether Garita was stepping in for one episode or a handful, fans can take heart that Cadranel has already reclaimed her role and will be back on screen very soon.
And with Harmony still hiding Willow’s true parentage from her and also mixed up in Ryan’s orbit at Spring Ridge, there’s plenty of drama yet to come. Stay tuned!
