Ingo Rademacher Is Proud to Work as a Lifeguard

Daytime fans already know that Ingo Rademacher is a talented actor from his roles as Jax on GENERAL HOSPITAL and Thorne on THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL, and they may be aware of his love of surfing and the outdoors. But fans may not be aware that Rademacher has also a lifeguard since June 2019! “It has certainly been a strange year but the beaches are finally open again and I’m starting to pick up some shifts,” he announced on Instagram. “Watching the water and doing my best to keep our beachgoers safe.”

Rademacher also offered up some safety tips to his fans that he hopes they take to heart. “The ocean is a beautiful place but it can take your life in the blink of an eye,” he warned. “If you’re unsure about conditions, please come and ask a lifeguard and always swim in front of an open tower. When in doubt, don’t go out.”

The GH star is also happy to do his part to help protect the beaches and keep people safe. “It is an absolute honor to represent the Los Angeles County Lifeguards and I wear these red trunks with pride,” Rademacher declared. “Every year, the LA County Fire Department Lifeguard Division makes an estimated 12,000 ocean rescues and attends to more than 15,000 medical emergencies. I also want to thank all of my academy instructors who ran an incredibly informative and professional class in 2019. This is my second year. Honored to be a part of the team.”
