Following the tragic death of their son, Harrison Wagner, GENERAL HOSPITAL stars Kristina Wagner (Felicia) and Jack Wagner (ex-Frisco) have created the Harrison Wagner Scholarship Fund with the New Life House Recovery Community. The organization offers recovery communities for men ages 18-32 years old who are struggling with substance abuse and addiction.
“Harrison was a bright, exuberant young man whose smile lit up any room he was in,” the statement read. “He has left behind many men and family members who loved him deeply. We are heartbroken that he ultimately lost his battle with addiction and we hope that Harrison’s memory will live on through this scholarship and will help other young men get help for their addiction that would not otherwise be able to afford it.”
For more information and to make a donation to the Harrison Wagner Scholarship Fund, you can visit his page on the New Life House website. And if you have a loved one who is in need of the care that New Life House offers, please call 888-915-1119 to learn more about their program.
The Wagners’ friends and GH castmates spread word of the scholarship fund all over social media. “In honor of my lovely friend Kristina’s dear son Harrison,” tweeted Finola Hughes (Anna). “Jack and Kristina have put together a foundation where we can help others battling addiction. With love and thanks.” Jacklyn Zeman (Bobbie) and William deVry (ex-Julian) also shared the link. Even if you can’t donate to the scholarship fund yourself, spreading the link around will also help do some good for those out there struggling with addiction.
Our thoughts remain with Harrison’s friends and family during this difficult time.
