Jacqueline Grace Lopez Joins GENERAL HOSPITAL as Blaze!

Who is playing Blaze on GENERAL HOSPITAL? That’s actress Jacqueline Grace Lopez who made her debut in the Nov. 3 episode of the soap as the singer who is set to duet with Chase. “I am super excited,” the actress said in a video she shared in her Instagram Stories. “I’m super grateful to Mark [Teschner], to Liza [Snedeker Booth], both of them in casting, thank you so much.

“Thank you to rank [Valentini, GH’s executive producer] for taking a chance on me and to the cast and crew for being so warm and delightful. They have been amazing to work with thus far. And it’s such a privilege to be on such storied television ground.”

In fact, this isn’t the first time that Lopez has appeared on GH. Back in 2015 and 16, she played a babysitter on the soap. The actress has also played Veronica in episodes of EAST LOS HIGH, and could be seen in movies like El Camino and Jane the Novela. The singer/songwriter has also released a CD and even opened for En Vogue!

Now, after Chase’s conversation with Blaze, he got the impression that she wasn’t a big fan of Linc either. But in her Instagram story, Lopez described her character as “a pop singer who is going to work with Harrison Chase… or is she?” So could this all be an act and she’s working firmly on Linc’s side? Or might she team up with Chase and Brook Lynn to take down the sleazy producer? Either way, hopefully, we actually get to see the pair do their duet so we can also enjoy Lopez’s musical talents!

Lopez did say that she had “officially started [her] run on GH,” but neither she nor ABC has revealed just how long that run might be. So you’ll just have to stay tuned to see how it all plays out!
