Jacqueline Grace Lopez Shares a Special Message With Fans
Fans were taken by surprise when Blaze suddenly left Port Charles, bringing to an end, Jacqueline Grace Lopez’s recent run on General Hospital. The day after her final episode aired on Aug. 13, the actress spoke out about her exit and expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to help bring some Latinx representation to daytime. And just about a week later, on Aug. 19, she reached out to her fans once again on Twitter/X.
“Hello all!” Lopez wrote. “Just wanna say I am deeply moved by all the well wishes and support I have received over the last few days. I only hope the roles I portray help people feel seen, so all this love makes me feel like I did something right!
“For those who feel a little less seen,” she added, “know you are the example you seek! Be brave and proud that you taking up space and living your truth is an example and inspo to others, myself included. You are seen. You matter! Never forget that!”
Lopez actually made her debut on GH back in 2015 in one episode as a babysitter, but in November 2022, joined the cast as the singer Blaze, real name Alison Rogers-Ramirez. After her initial storyline involving sleazy record producer Linc wrapped up in April 2023, it appeared that was the last viewers would see of her. But Lopez was back in the role by September for a whole new story involving a romance with Kristina and introducing her homophobic mother, Natalia, played by All My Children star Eva La Rue.
In addition to her work in daytime, Lopez could be seen in episodes of East Los High and True Lies as well as movies like El Camino and Jane the Novela. She has also done voice work for videogames like Fallout 4, Moonbreaker, and Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2. Some fans even spotted her in a Honda commercial!
While it’s entirely possible Blaze could return to Port Charles at some point in the future, with talent like Lopez’s we’re sure fans will see her on screen again somewhere very soon. So keep checking back here at SoapsInDepth.com and we’ll keep you updated on her career!
